Porosity during welding aluminous alloys
Hájková, Alena ; Daněk, Ladislav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of occurrence of porosity in aluminous alloys and the methods of their repair in the company IFE. Theoretical part is aimed on the current state of porosity and the ways in which the be pores can be repaired. Used technologies of repairs are TIG welding and cementing. The practical part consists of experiment in which is used a method of cementing on specific part.
Structual welding of aluminium alloy
Blahák, Petr ; Hála, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The project elaborated in frame of engineering studies branch 2303R002 presents a project that contains welding a structure made of aluminium alloy. There were two usable methods selected, based on literal study of welding aluminium alloys, TIG welding and friction welding, and these were compared with alternative methods of joining, hard soldering and bonding. A work procedure was made for TIG method, soldering and bonding and four experimental joins were made thereafter. Project compares these methods mainly in economical way, also in way of technological difficulties and in way of observance the strength of base materials. Project also deals with problems with lowering strength of base material in heat affected area, burn out of thin material, tendency of aluminium to fill with hydrogen, quick oxidation and consequent hard surface layer emerging on the aluminium.
Modern Materials for Automotive Industry
Vaníček, Jan ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on the description of conventional and unconventional materials that are used to build a car. Individual types of materials are sorted according to their application and characterized in terms of properties and real use. The end of each chapter is devoted to possible future trends.
Housing for seniors
Vrbický, Josef ; Donaťák, Vladislav (referee) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of a new building of a free-standing building for housing for the elderly, in the form of project documentation for the construction. The building is designed brick with monolithic reinforced concrete ceilings. Perimeter masonry is designed from ceramic brick blocks th. 300 mm supplemented by contact insulation system ETICS th. 200 mm, which will be provided with silicone plaster with a grain size of 1.5 mm. The internal load-bearing masonry is designed from acoustic ceramic brick blocks of thickness 250 and 300 mm. The partitions are designed from acoustic partitions. The ceilings are designed with a heavy floating floor with excellent acoustic properties. The roof above the two-storey part is designed as a single-skin flat with extensive greenery. Above the three-storey part is a hipped roof made of lattice trusses and sheet metal roofing. The windows are designed with plastic insulating triple glazing. The balcony railing is designed for aluminum with safety glass filling. The building is heated by a gas boiler and controlled ventilation is designed throughout the building using a central recuperation.
Apartment house
Vrbický, Josef ; Donaťák, Vladislav (referee) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of a new building of a detached apartment building in Holice, in the form of project documentation for construction. The building is designed with bricks and ceilings made of beams and ceramic inserts. The peripheral masonry is designed from ceramic brick blocks th. 300 mm completed with contact insulation system ETICS th. 200 mm, which will be equipped with silicone plaster 1,5mm. The internal load-bearing masonry is designed from acoustic ceramic brick blocks th. 250 and 300 mm. Partitions are designed from acoustic partition walls. On the ceilings, a heavy floating floor with excellent acoustic properties is designed. The roof is designed flat single-skin with thermal insulation of mineral wool and with waterproofing layer made of bitumen modified SBS strips laid in two layers. Balcony railing is designed aluminum with safety glass paneling.
Nanocomposites with a metal matrix
Chlupová, Monika ; Kohout, Jan (referee) ; Zapletal, Josef (advisor)
This baechelor thesis is focused on metal matrix nanocomposites (MMNCs), whose research has started recently. In the first part of this thesis are generally defined composite materials, the larger part is dedicated to metal matrix composites (MMCs), on which are described the strengthening mechanisms that are also applied to MMNCs. The second part of the thesis is focused specifically on MMNCs. The concept of MMNCs and their distribution is defined first, followed by a definition of the reinforcement that can be used for the production of MMNCs. There are also described the posibilities for the production of these reinforcing phases, and their influence on the structural and mechanical properties of the final MMNCs. This section is followed by a description of possible processes of MMNCs production with their advantages and limitations. The last part outlines how research and development of these materials should be carried out in order to be commercially produced and used in the future.
Production technology for a vacuum mold
Ponka, Ondřej ; Bartoš, Tomáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the design and production of the mold for vacuum forming. Specifically, how the existing and new mold materials affect their design and, consequently, their production technology. The thesis contains a brief description of the principle of vacuum molding. Technological and design principles of designing molds. Furthermore, the realization of the solution variants and the simulation of their production. The solved variants are subsequently evaluated from a technical and economic point of view.
Welding of the framework from aluminium alloys
Rašek, Ondřej ; Daněk, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
For TIG welding of transformer fame is important enough weld root fusion, however exposed surfaces must remain unaffected. Three types of test were made to determine properties of welds under different conditions. Tests were macroscopic inspection, tensile test and fracture test. Next was economic evaluation of different methods. Best results were for single layer weld with pre-heated material.
Multifunctional Building Brno
Prchal, Václav ; Drobníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
Building concept is based on many factors which determine such a small plot of land. The building symbolizes the tendency to intensify the development, but as the first of its kind must also adapt to a low area in which it is planted so far. To reduce the size of the contrast of adjacent materials are brand new roof slanted towards low buildings, creating a line that from the perspective of a street in perspective seemingly follows the curve formed ridges houses in the block. Localizing the edge industrial zones to buildings not only traced angular features, but also the chosen material, which is most surfaces aluminum and glass. High population how busy traveling and working in the expanded urban area, which becomes a new landmark building and gives overall charge.
Analysis of substances potentially dangerous to humans found in lipsticks
Horáková, Kristýna ; Kučerová, Simona (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the determination of the content of risk elements and parabens in lipsticks and the assessment of possible negative effects on human health associated with the use of lipsticks. Parabens were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD). Aluminum, cadmium and lead were analyzed on an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). The mercury content was determined using an atomic absorption spectrometer with an UV detector (AAS-UV). A total of 36 lipstick samples from 22 cosmetic brands were selected for analysis, with a savings price in the range of CZK 50–1500. Based on the measured metal concentrations, the hazard quotients (HQ) for individual metals as well as the total hazard index (HI) for the sum of all metals were calculated. Metal concentrations in lipsticks were further processed using Kruskall-Wallis Anova to divide samples according to price categories. The relationship between the content of individual metals and the purchase price has not been proven. Furthermore, a Kolmogór-Smirnov test was performed on these data to compare groups with vegan and not vegan composition. The content of aluminum, which was about 2.5 times lower in vegan cosmetics, proved to be statistically significant for this distribution. Parabens were detected in the minimum number of lipsticks examined, but in some cases information on the content of parabens was missing on the product packaging.
